The Las Vegas Metro Honor Guard is a subaccount of the Friends of Las Vegas Metropolitan Foundation. The Friends of Las Vegas Metropolitan Foundation was established in 1999, and is dedicated to supporting programs that help keep our community safer. Programs that prevent crime, save lives, and make our County a safer place to live, work and play. The Foundation graciously accepts tax-exempt gifts and grants from individuals, businesses and philanthropies. Las Vegas Metro Officers are here to Protect and Serve our Community. Working together with our law enforcement we can help make our neighborhoods, work places, and this destination location even safer. Federal Tax ID Number: 88-0429730 The Las Vegas Metro Honor Guard is a professional, all volunteer group of commissioned officers who serve as the Department's ambassadors during ceremonial functions in which Department and National honors are rendered. This detail conducts ceremonial affairs to render the greatest honors upon its fallen officers and funerals for those who have honorably served LVMPD. Additionally, the Las Vegas Metro Honor Guard represents the Department during official ceremonies, special events. and in rendering honors to all fallen law enforcement officers.
