LRS is a clearinghouse for those looking for information about the legal system or for those looking for a lawyer. It is an award winning service that has assisted hundreds of thousands of people since it started in 1966. Our operators will help sort through what you need to have done and guide you through the legal process including pointing you to community resources. LRS will assist with information about any type of legal need.

The Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas, Inc. is a non-profit public service assisting those who need referrals in Travis, Hays, Bastrop, and Williamson counties. Lawyer Referral staff help nearly 25,000 callers and refers about 12,000 callers to the Central Texas attorneys each year. The program was designed to assist persons who are able to pay normal attorney fees but whose ability to locate legal representation is frustrated by a lack of experience with the legal system, a lack of information about the type of services needed, or a fear of the potential costs of seeing a lawyer.
