Locall’s originated from the reflection on the need for accessible, affordable, locally grown produce for the community of Miami, and the importance of such for our holistic health, individually and collectively. Our mission is based in, and motivated by, the following three tenets: 1) All Local: Our first and foremost goal is to provide fresh fruits, vegetables and more, all grown in and around Miami by local farmers and organic urban gardeners. Everything at Locall’s is ALL LOCAL, and always will be, as this is the basis of our purpose (and our name). Our mission is to provide fresh picked produce, hence our tag line “Picked that morning ~ On your Table that night”, we are proud to say this is literally true. No early harvesting, no long truck rides, no preserving techniques needed ~ all fresh picked, all natural, all local at Locall’s. Supplies and prices at our farmer's market style shop are completely dependent on the season. 2) Supporting the Local’s Organic Growth: As the saying goes, “we are what we eat” and when we consume live fresh fruits and vegetables we are aiding our organic growth to health in all ways. Locall’s is founded in the belief that eating locally grown food not only nourishes your body but enhances the holistic human experience. This philosophy comes to fruition with our local organically grown fruits, roots and vegetables that support physical health due to higher nutrients in fresh picked live foods grown in fertile non-toxic soil, the overall holistic health enhancement that stems from physical health, and the coinciding spiritual experience of being more aware of one’s connection with the root source of life. We hope to support the “locals” in our community by providing this resource for health enhancing holistic organic growth. “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food” – Hippocrates 3) Supporting the Community’s Organic Growth: By providing an avenue for local growers to sell their produce we hope to support the growth of the organic growing community along with local economic growth. Our goal is to also provide resources for organic growth of the community by: a. connecting the community to those that grow their food – farmers feed cities b. promoting urban gardening (ask us about permaculture living gardens/yards) c. providing information on incorporating eco-friendly practices in our daily lifestyle d. sharing educational tools and information on health We live by the “Think Globally, Act Locally” approach and hope that supporting the local community’s organic growth will play a part in moving towards a more eco-friendly food system with a goal to improve overall global health.
