Mamidosewin Centre offers cultural activities and support to students who self identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We offer: - Academic, career and personal support with an Aboriginal counsellor. - Budgeting, time management, study skills, and bursary application support with an Aboriginal student success specialist. - Employment Support - Job coaching, resume support, interview preparation and referrals through the DevelopMentor Program. - A Cultural Events Coordinator organizers: monthly feasts, craft circles, lunches, drumming, social events, movies, karaoke etc. - Cree School Board Liaison available to meet with students at the Mamidosewin Centre for students funded through CSB. - Part time peer support workers are hired - must be full time students that have a strong GPA and leadership qualities.
