The goal is for you to become aware of your thought patterns. To do that, you need to be in the moment, not in the past or in the future. You need to be present of mind at all times so that when a thought is affecting you negatively you become aware of it and you start to consciously change it to your advantage by replacing the negative thought with a different and positive thought. The difference between success and failure is in your way of thinking and acting.
