Forbes, Business Insider, The Wall Street Journal; everyone is talking about it, why aren’t we? Whether you are drawn to cryptocurrencies for their libertarian ideals, their volatile speculative markets or the state-of-the-art technology that is making these new forms of payment possible, this is the place for you. Though we are mainly concerned with Bitcoin, The McGill Cryptocurrency Club provides a forum for all those interested in any digital cryptocurrency to voice their opinions and discuss the latest happenings in the landscape. CREATING A WALLET If you are interested in starting to trade or invest a cryptocurrency, you will need what is called a cryptocurrency wallet. This is where your Bitcoins or other altcoins will be stored. In addition, this is the "wallet address" people will use to send you altcoins. There are a variety of options to choose from when creating a wallet. You can have wallets on your phone, online, or as software on your computer. For a guide to choosing a good, verified, secure wallet check the following link (it is updated frequently): https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet Or you can choose to use what is called a "paper wallet". The senators ask some well thought out questions that address some of Bitcoin's most current issues.
