Description
Each work explores and rediscovers the complexities of the natural world. I am drawn to and inspired by color, shape, and texture found in the natural world. My paintings focus on abstraction through line, exploration of shape, and expressive use of texture and color, working mainly with Acrylic paint on canvas. Through the enlargement of my forms and the exaggeration of brushstrokes I hope to create a pleasurable viewing experience as well as a level of abstraction that is meditative in its simplicity. I am a self-taught artist with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Art History. I am also the Associate Curator at the incredible MonOrchid Art Gallery where we showcase amazing local artists, hold a variety of events all while trying to educate & engage the community!
