Founding Partners Christine Sola and Pierre Bonhomme are committed to bringing high-quality projects to the region. With 16 years of combined production experience and solid industry relationships, Sola and Bonhomme bring a level of value and service to projects unmatched in Northern Ontario. From feature films to television to corporate content, Northwood's teams ensure a hands-on, proactive approach to every production. This structured finance and production company is putting together a select slate of television, film and transmedia projects for 2014-16 using an innovative hybrid public-private finance strategy aimed at international investors. Northwood's focus will be on smaller, individual accredited investors who are not aligned with large capitalized hedge funds and have $1 million or less to allocate to a project. Bundled project financing strategies will incorporate a set of risk minimization techniques which are unique in North America. This strategy will sustain the long-term, methodical development of a diversified media hub in Northern Ontario while creating jobs for young film professionals who wish to stay in the North. Northwood's investor-partners will sleep well knowing they are engaged in this form of careful and ethical film financing.
