Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants is the creation of Peter Oliver and Michael Bonacini, partners who first teamed up in 1993 to open Bay Street’s now legendary Jump. Since then, Oliver & Bonacini has come to be recognized as one of Canada's leading fine dining restaurant companies, operating 11 unique and innovative restaurants in Ontario. Included are Canoe, one of Canada’s most celebrated dining experiences, Auberge du Pommier, serving impeccable French cuisine for over 25 years, Biff’s Bistro, a modern Parisian eatery, and Luma, a stylish restaurant and bar lounge in the TIFF Bell Lightbox. O&B also offers mid-range casual fare. Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill has locations in Bayview Village, Blue Mountains, Oakville and downtown Toronto at Yonge and Front Streets. O&B Canteen and Bannock both provide dine-in and grab & go options. The company's private dining and events division, Oliver & Bonacini Events, manages a number of large-scale event facilities, including Malaparte at TIFF Bell Lightbox, Toronto Board of Trade, Windermere House on Lake Rosseau in Muskoka and Arcadian, a newly re-launched event space which includes the revitalized Arcadian Court and the new Arcadian Loft. With further expansion ahead, Oliver & Bonacini's standards of food and service excellence remain the main focus of the company’s vision.

General Info

Peter Oliver and Michael Bonacini formed their partnership in 1993. Peter, then a successful Toronto restaurateur, was first motivated to enter the business by a passionate conviction that he could serve a better lunch than any he received during his career as a commercial real estate entrepreneur. Michael Bonacini was a young chef from South Wales, having cut his culinary teeth in the most demanding kitchens of London before moving to Toronto as Executive Chef of the Windsor Arms. The connection between Oliver and Bonacini was instantaneous: they both shared an obsession for quality, service and innovation.
