Ontario Provincial Offences Advocacy Group

The Ontario Provincial Offences Group (OPOAG) was initially founded in 2007 when regulation was upon us and in an effort to raise the bar of the paralegal profession, I began working with new or junior paralegals doing mock trials and providing support in the way of case law and advice. This group is limited to paralegal who practice in one or more of the areas where the trial or Appeal would be governed by The Provincial Offences Act (Ontario). That isn't to say that practicioners in other areas might not find the information here useful, it simply means that we are a focus group. We aim to offer free continuing legal education and offer support for paralegal practicioners. In addition to paralegals, membership invitations will be extended to lawyers, police officers, Justices of the Peace, Judges, and anyone else who could contribute to the promotion of the profession.
