The Optimist Club of Windsor is a part of Optimist International, a worldwide organization whose motto is "Friend of Youth". Most of our activities involve children or are for the benefit of the Youth of our Community. Optimist International was formed in 1919, and has close to 100,000 members in more than 3,000 clubs all over the world. (Check out www.optimist.org.) We all pledge to try to live by the inspiring words in the "Optimist Creed", shown below: Promise Yourself: To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to everyone you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
