Orion Records is an independent record label and brainchild of Producer/Recording Engineer Amit Dass. The label was established in February 2015, in Gold Coast Australia, by Amit and Stephanie Dass. Amit had been working with several talented artists, including his wife - Singer/Songwriter Stephanie Dass, when he finally came to accept, what he'd known all along, that no matter how great the talent, the music industry is a tough business to break into. He noticed the somewhat inadvertent pressures from the industry, for artists to exploit themselves and their talent, using sex, alcohol, drugs, and violence, in order to be successful. The concerning factor in this, is the effect that it has on audiences, especially those of the younger generation, as music can have a profound effect on your mind, spirit, and behaviour. Hence Orion Records was born. The label is named after the Orion Constellation, which is visible throughout the world, and is one of the most conspicuous and recognisable constellations in the night sky. Orion Records aims to have the same pre-eminent effect in the music industry. With its high standards, the label commits to produce artists that will exhibit high moral values and wholesome standards, and music for all audiences.
