Treatment provided in our office: Direct restorations (composite tooth color fillings) Indirect restorations (crowns, bridges, onlays in metal alloy or ceramic): when the tooth is largely damaged, a direct filling is not durable enough, an indirect restoration is indicated. A mold of the prepared tooth is sent out to a dental laboratory to make the restoration with the material of choice. It will be bonded to the tooth at a subsequent visit. Veneers (ceramic restorations for front teeth): if a front tooth is damaged or its esthetic is compromised, a ceramic veneer can be fabricated and bonded to improve its strength and appearance. A veneer is essentially an indirect restoration. Root canal therapy: When the nerve inside the tooth is infected, it will be removed and the canal space will be disinfected and filled. With new tools, techniques, and materials, this procedure is usually done painlessly in one visit. Deep root planing and curettage: When the gums around a tooth are inflammed and infected due to accumulation of bacterial in deep pocket space, a deep cleaning with local anesthetic is indicated. This procedure removes the bacteria and its toxins, and promotes healing of the dental pockets. Implants: When teeth are lost and not being replaced, other teeth may shift and affect the bite. It is recommended that the missing teeth be replaced. Traditionally, a bridge is made using the teeth on each side of the space as anchorage. Presently, implants can be used for anchorage to replace missing teeth without affecting existing teeth. Orthodontics (functional appliances to develop jaws, and braces to align teeth): if the jaws of a young child are not developed well, his or her respiratory system as well as speech can be affected. We can fabricate an appliance to help the jaws to properly developed, and create enough space for the permanent teeth to grow in. Early treatment is crucial in facial development of a child. Invisalign (minor orthodontic treatment with clear aligners): minor crowding or misalignment of the front teeth can be easily and invisibly corrected in 6 to 8 months using clear aligners. TMJ (treatment of jaw joint dysfunction using computer tracking device and TENS unit): Have you ever suffered from constant headache, neck pain, jaw pain that other professionals could not help? It may be related to your bite. Using advanced technology, we can fabricate an appliance to align your bite and help the jaw joints, as well as head and neck muscles. It will help relieve the tension and pain in the head and neck area. Laser: Have you ever wonder what could be done to level your front teeth gum line? Soft tissue laser can painlessly recontour the gum to achieve more harmonious gum line. Oral cancer Screening: We are currently using Vel-Scope technology to detect early signs of oral cancer, which is dangerous form of cancer. Digital X-rays: we have upgraded our X-rays system to digital technology, which reduces the radiation up to 70%. The x-rays photo can be seen virtually instantaneously on our networked monitors. The image can be viewed at high magnification without losing its details. Whitening: We are using Zoom system to whiten our teeth in a couple of hours. We are also offering home use whitening materials using custom tray fitted to your teeth. Oral Sedation: oral medications to help you relax during long procedures. Full-mouth reconstruction (to correct malformed, worn down teeth).
