Description

Out of the Closet Renew Boutique is a new fantastic high quality thrift store in downtown Victoria operated by Out of the Closet Queer Sustainability Society! We are a new provincial non-profit organization formed in 2010 and our Mission is "we are committed to promoting queer visibility, culture and community and building allies with those who are also dedicated to redressing societal inequities." Our shop is open seven days a week and we are staffed by the support of amazing volunteers. If you're looking for a fun and inclusive environment to volunteer, come check us out or send us a message! There's lots of different jobs to help with including on the sales floor and 'behind the scenes'; volunteers get a 25% discount too! We sell really interesting, unique, and high quality stuff at very fair prices. All kinds of clothes for all body shapes, sizes, and gender expressions; books; art and decorations; housewares; jewelry and accessories; music and movies; and other random rarities! Our selection of great stuff is due to the amazing and generous people who donate to us - their kindness and support of our project is truly powerful. If you're looking to find a new home for some of your stuff, we'd be so appreciative to have it! Donations can be dropped off any time we are open, seven days a week, and we're also happy to pick stuff up if it helps you out. If you'd like to arrange a pick up, give us a call or send a message! We are dedicated to pursuing our goals without compromising environmental safety and sustainability. We will support the local economy by providing local jobs and supporting the creative and innovative regeneration of waste.
