Pan Am Place is a transitional housing program for young men (ages18-29) who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Pan Am Place is a non-profit organization founded on by Harry Black and the Pan Am Boxing Club. Our mission is to provide young men at-risk of homelessness with a home and the resources needed to develop independent living skills.
Pan Am Place is a transitional housing program for young men (ages18-29) who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Pan Am Place offers room and board accommodations and has the goal of assisting program participants develop independent living skills. Room and board cost is often covered by EIA. Applicants must be in need of shelter. All program participants must complete a number of weekly requirements in order to maintain their spot in the program. Weekly requirements include 4 workouts at the Pan Am Boxing Club (located next door), 3 hours of volunteer work, and a daily requirement to go to work, look for employment, or to be in school. Length of the stay varies among participants and can be as long as 2 years+. Participants are welcome to stay at Pan Am Place until they are ready for independent living so long as they maintain the program requirements.
