we have been doing a lot on Kriyas, or body cleansing and preparation techniques, at the Yoga teacher training. they are wonderful for warming up the mind , the body, purification and orienting everyone to focus and harmonize. they improve concentration and make you feel lighted headed and really good. i am going to start to introduce it to our classes as I think it will make the learning a lot more effective! there is the nauli kriyas which is where you suck in your stomach and roll it around.. the Kapalabahti breath which is where you breathe in and out very fast for a few minutes the ujjai breath, you know the ocean wave one , the nadi shodana, the alternate nostril breathing and the brahmari the bumble bee which is really good for sadness
Adjustments and marking up the matt for correct hand feet placement
