Description

Perth Enrichment Program for Older Adults is a nonprofit charity day program for older adults in need of support to live well in their own home, using evidence-based therapies to optimize their health and environment. The program looks forward to opening February 2014 at 12 Elliot Street, Perth ON. The program has two primary goals directed toward enriching the lives of participants and their families: 1) to enhance and/or maintain the functioning level (physical, social, emotional and cognitive) of participants on an individual basis, in concert with input from attending physician, health care specialists, and family; and 2) to support, equip and provide respite for family/caregivers. Perth Enrichment Program for Older Adults is a start-up corporation, founded by a local family doctor, a local nursing and an executive assistant. All have extensive experience in the health care industry, and have maintained excellent reputations in this same industry. A board of directors provides governance and works to build bridges to the community to promote the work of the program and secure sponsors.
