Description

Petalsuite is the creative outlet of local artisan Jo MacIntosh. Jo has been an artist from a young age, finding particular talents in handlettering and painting. Born in the United Kingdom, and growing up in Washington DC, Jo has long been exposed to a wide range of cultures, styles, and protocol. She began working in the Special Events industry at age 20 at a luxury event décor company in Washington DC. There she remained for over three years, progressing from a shift artist to Art Director and Head of PR for a brand new boutique firm that was built from the previous company. In the Fall of 2014, she transitioned to a prestigious city club in Washington, with a membership of former Presidents, Senators, Nobel Prize winners, authors and professors, where she coordinated Weddings and formal banquets through the Catering department. The following year, she moved to Ontario with her husband and formed Petalsuite. Through Petalsuite, Jo creates custom stationery, offers calligraphy services, creates unique personalized handpainted and chalk signage, and other bespoke artistic elements for weddings and special events. She is also be available for commissioned artwork, home decor, and event design consultation.
