Description

Experts agree that preschool age children learn best in a play environment. These carefree years are so short, and soon the children will be exposed to a much more structured form of learning. How then do I encourage a child’s love of learning? By making learning FUN! I incorporate a multicultural preschool curriculum as we study themes based on things which interest children. These themes promote basic skills (letter and number recognition, color and shape recognition, large motor skills, small motor skills, etc.). ach theme is studied through a variety of activities: circle time, art and science activities, outdoor activities,manipulatives, and snacks when appropriate. Additionally, field trips play an important part in our curriculum, as they allow children to experience their world first-hand.
