Description
The Queen’s French Camp is a newly developed initiative of the Department of French Studies at Queen’s University. The camp program provides an opportunity for children ages 4 to 9 to learn and experience the French language and culture in a fun, interactive, and recreational setting. Queen’s French Camp is a student run program that aims to teach French in an engaging camp style, outside the bounds of the classroom, by incorporating creative programming for campers of all abilities in French. The weekly sessions in June, July and August seek to inspire interest in the French Canadian identity while incorporating the Ontario curriculum standards. Campers are encouraged, but never required to, communicate in the French language, ultimately ensuring an inclusive and comfortable environment. With an excellent team of qualified (and bilingual) staff and innovative language learning activities, the Queen’s French Camp is sure to be a success!
