Ever since I was a little girl I loved arts and crafts. You could always find me with pens, pencils and paintbrushes sticking out of my hair or propped behind my ears. My bedroom had numerous paintings in various states of completion hanging from floor to ceiling, my floor covered in paper clippings from all those paper cut images, handmade jewellery hanging from every door handle in sight, and my windowsill filled with paper mache bowls. It didn't stop there either.... The garden was stained with plaster of Paris I would buy from Boots, which I used to make ornaments and decorative masks that I would paint and then sell to the neighbours. There would be buckets of various dyes to do my clothes in, much to my mothers horror and my stepfathers enjoyment (he was always better at that than I was, shhhhh, don't say anything!!). It was such an enjoyable time in my life, unfortunately I had to grow up and get a job. Since having my beautiful girls Anya (aka Teddy Bear) and Alina (aka Turtle Dove) I have become inspired again. They are my muse and everything I create, I create with the love that they give me and I give them in return. Each piece is designed from those wonderful stories and nursery rhymes we all enjoyed as a child, the characters that became our friends, that we shared with our parents and now share and enjoy with our own children. You will be happy to know my house has returned to the days of my youth and is covered in sequins, paper, paints and all sorts of other craft items.
