We help rescues and shelters promote their special needs pets and provide humane education programs to the public and other organizations.
Second Hope Circle helps special needs and hard to place pets in Ontario through promotion, funding and education. Many animals with behavioural or medical problems are overlooked because of the belief they cannot make good pets. We feel this is a misconception and that hard-to-place animals may just need a little extra love and a little extra help being adopted! We help rescues and shelters promote their animals that have been having a hard time finding the right home. These animals may have any of the following problems; blindness, old age, extremely shy or hyper, diabetes, loss of limb, unfavourable markings (red eyes, or black coat) or comes from a previous life of abuse. While these animals may need special food, medications or extra time there are families out there that would be the perfect fit! Our website also features resources and articles that can help pet owners and organizations. Finally a fund is available to participating rescues and shelters to help with emergency costs that will help animals get adopted!
