The Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology collects, preserves and exhibits artifacts from around the world, with a special focus on British Columbia.

Description

The exhibits are created by volunteers and students. Students can curate exhibits as part of the museum studies courses offered in the Department of Archaeology. Students study collections management and archaeological conservation. Archaeological collections arising from excavations and other research by faculty, staff and students are housed in the museum. We also house an archival collection of photographs, newspaper and other paper materials. Our collections and archives are available for research by appointment. Volunteers are always welcome! Contact us for information on available volunteer opportunities. General Info

Located in the northeast corner of the Academic Quadrangle, the gallery features archaeological and ethnographic exhibits from British Columbia and around the world. Open 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.* Our exhibits are updated regularly. *We are closed from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for lunch.
