Stanford is creating independent learners. Our goal is to teach students how to become independent learners. This is achieved by creating an anxiety free environment where students are able to take ownership of their learning. Research in psychology has shown that learning does not take place if a student is anxious or frustrated. With a small teacher to student ratio we are able to meet the immediate learning needs of each student where students are able to ask more questions and are willing to take more risks. At Stanford we build on this foundation as students acquire knowledge and understanding at their instructional learning level. By combining these two crucial elements we set your child up for success not just for today but for the future. Who are our instructors? All of our instructors are highly qualified professionals that are familiar with the prescribed learning outcomes set out by the BC Ministry of Education. As teachers we are committed to developing cognitive skills at each student’s instructional level with a focus on critical thinking and reflection. The result is a more confident and independent learner who will excel in todays highly competitive world. We will continuously inspire excellence!
