Family Support Mentor facilitates programs that work to increase opportunities to strengthen individuals and families to empower them to improve the quality of their personal and family life. Our principles incorporate values that are common across many Aboriginal cultures as core concepts in its programming. Children's First Mentor facilitates programs that are designed to assist families in learning and experiencing both quality and culturally enriched time with their children age 0-6. These programs aim to assist with the difficulties and challenges faced by urban First Nations families with preschool aged children., by providing them with programs and services designed to educate, heal and empower. Family Support Workers provide services that include a range of family -centered strategies, including advocating for improved conditions for families, supporting them, stabilizing those in crisis, reunifying those who are separated, building new families and connecting families to the resources that will sustain them in the future. Our goal is to support at risk families avoid apprehension of their children by providing in-home visitation with the purpose to assist in achieving their health and wellness goals.
