Description

The Student Life Centre is the heart of student life on campus. Unlike most Universities, which only have one Student Life Centre, Queen’s SLC is comprised of three buildings with numerous spaces, services, and resources dedicated to enhancing the quality of student and campus life at Queen’s. The SLC provides exclusive space for societies and clubs, bookable spaces for meetings and performances, and public spaces for a wide range of student and community uses. The SLC is managed by the Alma Mater Society (AMS), in partnership with the Society of Graduate and Professional Students (SGPS) and Student Affairs. Introducing your 2017-2018 Managing Team…. The Student Life Centre Managing Director oversees the operations of the SLC and focuses on policy, governance, and long-term planning as it relates to the SLC and its governing body, the SLC Managing Board. Emily Stanley, Human Resources and Marketing Manager slc.hr@ams.queensu.ca The Student Life Centre HR and Marketing Manager oversees the SLC Front Desk and its Representatives and manages all SLC Social Media sites, as well as all poster intakes. Justin Karch, Operations and Sustainability Manager slc.ops@ams.queensu.ca The Student Life Centre Operations and Sustainability Manager is responsible for overseeing all bookings, invoices, locker rentals, as well as oversees the Reservations Coordinator. Julia De Angelis, Reservations Coordinator slc.reservations@ams.queensu.ca The Student Life Centre Reservations Coordinator is responsible for all student space bookings between the Queen’s Centre, the JDUC, Mac-Corry, and University and Union as well as oversees table and chair rentals, AV, and other equipment, and their associate set up and take down. The Student Life Centre as a community centre for Queen’s University, seeks: - to foster communication among and between students, faculty, staff and alumni; - to provide for the changing cultural, social, intellectual and recreational life of the University; and - to provide services and amenities for the convenience of its users.
