The 2nd annual Sudbury Yogathon for mental health is coming April 2, 2017! A multilevel day of yoga for the community to come together in support of NISA and Mental Health Awareness in Sudbury.
The Sudbury Yogathon for Mental Health is a one-day community event in support of mental health awareness throughout Greater Sudbury. The Yogathon hopes to engage community members of all fitness levels, at to be an easy-going day of multi-leveled yoga styles. All proceeds from the event will be donated to NISA/Northern Initiative for Social Action, a peer-run mental health organization providing vital services and programs to people with lived experience of mental illness. Support NISA, and your own mental health, by attending the 2017 Sudbury Yogathon for Mental Health! There will be exhibitors on-site to provide local products such as health foods, coffee, mental health information, clothing, and natural health products. The Sudbury Yogathon for Mental Health strives to create mental health awareness in the Greater City of Sudbury and raise funds for NISA. Hundreds of community members use NISA programs and services each year. NISA/Northern Initiative for Social Action is a non-for profit organization that relies on the support of community partners to run their services. The Sudbury Yogathon for Mental Health encourages people of all ages in the community to learn, talk, reflect, share and engage others in issues related to mental health and mental illness. The yogathon will bring people together through activity in support of mental health. An investment in The Sudbury Yogathon for Mental Health will help us further develop a safe and accepting society and support several non-for profit NISA Initiatives.
