Today 5678 Showtime hosts 15 dance conventions and competitions involving over 8,000 dancers each year across Canada. It has been dubbed by CBC/RCI radio and television as the Creator of Canada’s Dance competition. The mandate of 5678 Showtime is “To Promote Excellence and Diversity”. It has achieved this by bringing families together at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, developing an award system that emphasizes diversity of training, initiating summer dance tours in Hollywood, New York, London, Paris, and Barcelona, and awarding outstanding dancers and studios a total of $1,621,720.00 in Cash Awards since 1994.

5678 Showtime will be launching its 23rd season in 2016. Nationals July 5678, 2016 will be hosted at the luxurious Fairmont Tremblant, one hour north of Montreal, Canada. Studios from Canada qualify for Nationals at 5678 Showtime regional events. Studios from USA and other countries qualify by video submission. Cash awards are up to $40,000 at Nationals. http://www.fairmont.com/tremblant/ 5678 Showtime reached a global scale when it first hosted Dance World Cup 2008. It obtained the legal trademark, and is now in its 9th season. Dance World Cup will be hosted at Fairmont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada July 8-10, 2016. From 2008 to 2015, over 7,000 dancers of all ages from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia participated at Dance World Cup. http://www.danceworldcup.com/ Dance World Cup is a recognized event of the International Dance Council (CID – Conseil International de la Danse), official organization for all forms of dance in all countries recognized by UNESCO, with headquarters in Paris, France. Since 2012, Cirque du Soleil Casting, dance department has supported Dance World Cup by offering workshops, and tours of their international headquarters. A tour will be offered of the headquarters for select dancers/teachers at Dance World Cup 2016.
