Founded in 1994, the Charter School of San Diego (CSSD) is a FREE public school option serving students in the 7th -12th grades who seek an alternative learning experience to the traditional school setting. Repeatedly recognized for a quality instructional program, high-caliber teaching, and strong operational performance, CSSD seeks to redefine how teachers teach and students learn. Our standards and expectations are high as we prepare our students for the future. Together—teacher, parent, and student—we can guide our students to achieving great academic success and accomplishing the goals each has identified as their own. Every student’s progress and achievement is important to us. Our teachers are committed to providing a personalized and rigorous academic program for every student. At CSSD, your child’s needs are incorporated into their educational experience. Our independent study model teaches students to take charge of their education and future. We invite you to learn more about The Charter School of San Diego and how we are Transforming Lives! CSSD is proud to offer safe and supportive classroom environments that are conducive to learning. Instruction is presented individually and in small groups. Teachers are trained to work on specific student needs. Our school’s standards and expectations are high.
