The Floatation Centre offers floatation therapy and other holistic health services in a compassionate, safe and non-judgemental environment. Many folks move through their daily lives experiencing emotional, mental and physical discomfort - unaware of their potential and unable to fully relax. We provide an empowering service which allows people to elevate the quality of their lives through simple, non-pharmaceutical floatation therapy. To date, we have hosted thousands of floats which have transformed the lives of those who have chose to make floating part of their regular practice. The Floatation Centre is a springboard for happiness and elevated levels of consciousness. We open our guest's eyes to the endless possibilities of their human potential. TFC offers additional wellness services such as Naturopathic Medicine, Bowen Therapy, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Financial Wellness, Counselling, Ayurveda and Dietetics in an environment full of positive vibrations, mindfulness, happiness and love! General Info
Floating, also known as Restricted Environmental Stimulation Technique (REST) stimulates physiological healing and stress reduction through relaxation, as well as many psychological benefits including reduced anxiety, depression & the promotion personal development. Floating aids, in many different ways, each person who decides to get still inside a float tank. Sensory Deprivation tanks, or isolation tanks, have been used since the 1960s, and are found in 26 different locations across Canada. Created by Dr John C Lilly, American physician & neuroscientist, sensory deprivation tanks have been used as a tool to enhance all aspects of an individual’s mind, body and spirit. During a typical floating experience, the guest enters the sensory deprivation tank (or float tank, isolation tank/chamber) containing 10” of water that has approximately 900 pounds of Epsom salts dissolved in it. Upon entering, the guest lies down & floats buoyantly atop of the water. The surroundings are void of sound and light; the temperature of the water is the same as that of your relaxed skin’s surface, which eventually gives the sense of no longer ‘feeling’. The individual floats for up to 90 minutes, leaving them relaxed & calm. In fact, many of the benefits of floating last longer than the float itself such as ongoing acute awareness & heightened senses.Company Rating
