What for? For health, for community, for building awareness of our food sources, for the experience that home prepared food is better than anything you can purchase and for love. I notice that the fast convenient world we live in has many benefits, but has robbed us of the intimacy and authenticity of being able to do things with our hearts and our hands and it has removed trust in our own abilities to take care of ourselves, our bodies, our food source, and the earth we live on. I value traditional arts: cooking, baking, canning and fermenting are traditional home based arts. The heart of the kitchen is centered in creativity, generosity and community building. I also value my own ability to decide what is right for me in regards to my health. What we eat is the first step towards experiencing vitality and life long health. Good food, whether I am growing it, preparing it or eating it is the foundation for forging strong joyful relationships, building community and reclaiming my innate ability to take care of myself and my family.” My goal is to inspire you to love food and to love cooking!
