Description

Each human being has a unique story of life as a "visitor," when a vital part of who we are and how we experience the world impedes our sense of belonging in the community around us. Sometimes this feeling is perpetual, causing us to feel like we belong everywhere and nowhere in particular. By telling and witnessing these stories, we can all feel more connected. The Perpetual Visitors Theatre Company LLC was founded in January 2015 to foster understanding, empathy, and human connection through theatre that explores uncommon human experiences, and to tell entertaining, compelling true stories. We believe that theatre has a special ability to facilitate dialogue in a community as well as captivate, transport, and entertain audiences. We also believe that the human experience becomes richer when all voices are celebrated on stage. Each year, we aim to (1) create and stage new documentary theatre pieces, and (2) offer theatre workshops and classes to continue the conversation about the theatre's role in helping us to forge connections with one another around issues of identity and community.
