Hockey Development Group providing skill sessions throughout the Lower Mainland

Description

The Redmond Hockey Group is Lower Mainland based group that is working on hockey development to a wide variety of ages and levels of hockey players. It is currently run by it's three owners. Connor Redmond, Craig Redmond, and Jason Scoffins. All three owners are experienced and knowledgable with coaching and demonstrating on ice skills. We look to bring detailed skill development sessions to groups no larger than 15 kids, to ensure that they get the attention they need to improve on certain areas of their game. We are looking to expand over the lower mainland catering to groups in each area. In terms of the Qualifications for the instructors and owners of our program. Craig Redmond Craig has a fairly deep hockey background, and has the most experience of our owners and instructors. He has played 8 seasons professionally in the NHL, and stints in the AHL. He was selected 6th overall in the 1984 NHL entry draft to the Los Angeles Kings. He was later dealt to the Edmonton Oilers where he spent most of his career playing. He has experience at the international level playing for Team Canada in the 1984 Olympics. He is also an alumni to the University of Denver where he played NCAA hockey. Craig played his career as a defenceman, which allows him to provide a lot of insight to young players at that position. Connor Redmond Connor has been fortunate to play at a fairly high level of hockey, playing 4 years in the Western Hockey League, becoming an Alumni of the Vancouver Giants, and Red Deer Rebels. He was selected 11th overall to the Red Deer Rebels in the 2007 WHL bantam draft. During his years he was fortunate to work under coaches Don Hay, Jesse Wallin, and to start Brent Sutter. With Connor being 20 years old, he is able to demonstrate drills at a high level and relate his experiences with what minor hockey players will soon be experiencing. Jason Scoffins Jason played five years in the BCHL and PIJHL for his junior hockey career. With having over ten years of working as a coach and part of skill development programs, he has picked up lots of knowledge on how to work with young players. Jason has worked with kids in Hockey 1, all the way up to Major Junior and NCAA level players.
