The SEAL Wellness Clinic offers a range of services to help adults, children, adolescents and their families when emotional problems hinder emotional growth and development. The Clinic is committed to an approach to therapy that allows individuals to express their worries and emotional pain, in order to assist in overcoming difficulties in life. When parents/ clients contact the Clinic for help, an assessment is made to determine the nature of the problems and to establish a treatment plan based on this evaluation. Often, this plan includes a form of psychotherapy, but may also include other interventions that supplement therapy. Adjunctive therapies, such as medication, can be used conservatively as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. The SEAL Wellness Clinic offers therapy based on building a trust with a specially trained therapist, who can help individuals and families deal with the causes of distress and help them acquire the skills to cope in the future. Young children often communicate through play; adults, older children and adolescents may prefer talk. The clinic allows flexibility during sessions to enable clients to express themselves fully in order to develop self-understanding and make changes in his/her emotional life.
