If you need help starting a garden in your life or have me maintain the one you already have or will when I am done then The Secret Gardener is what that is for. I stole the name from the movie and made is creepier, but the only creeping going on will be the neighbours being like "give me some of that lettuce" and me if your not at home and I'm keeping them away with my presence and other bugs, birds, weeds, and wildlife. Just tell me how big you want it and what you want in it and I will get whatever you need from wherever you want, but personally I will go to the most organic sources possible to get the best seeds and fertilizers available. The idea started when I was looking for work after school was over and my summer and winter recreation jobs where through and I ended up as a forester, but I did not like killing, then I was a prep for a health food truck, but it was not enough work so I decided to mix the ideas together and came up with this! I have always loved helping my mom in the garden and learning about agriculture, horticulture, healthy eating, where our food comes from, and other detrimental parts of life, naturally, so now I am ready as much as I can staying shape and pointy by getting training and teaching from a professional gardener and living between Arnpior and Ottawa waiting for calls and looking for action, in my interests. When I went to Sault College for Adventure Rec. and Parks Tec. I became more aware in the importance of gardening when I started Volunteering for a local grass roots organization called Clean North. During the time spent in Sault Sainte Maire I learned that my experiences growing up on a farm and having a garden all the time was a norm and seeing people in a city twice the size of my home town have a need for someone to help organize community gardens and events made me want to be apart of society more then ever. Feeling that I was helping do good and enjoying the things I did like Canoeing, Hiking, Music, and Gardening seemed more fun when I was creating the trail, helping set up a music festival, gardening with others, and getting people together in a giant voyager canoe. We also did a lot of composting, rain barrels, bat boxes, and doing experiments using biologically friendly plant foods to see if it would show any differences in gardens. Doing this on the side of going to school every day kept me very busy throughout the months and I was glad for it because I felt extremely active and it gave me even more drive to excel in my classes, learning all the names of local plants, doing biology labs, working in green houses, finding out more about the environment, and seeing where I can fit into it all and what I can do when school is done. Having a garden in your back yard should encourages you to be healthy, cook more creatively, try different foods, and see whats best for you.
