The #Truth campaign will raise public awareness about how the factual history of racism and slavery in America has been distorted for partisan political purposes. Our nation is on the edge of a serious racial divide because of misinformation and mainstream media bias, and worse, a desire by some to foment racial discord. The #Truth campaign will lay bare who was really responsible for the immoral Jim Crow era, subsequent dependence on government, and the shocking decline in the health and prosperity of the black community. Distortions and outright lies about Jim Crow have been propagated by the Democratic Party for far too long and are getting worse. It's time that Republicans stop being cowed and proudly proclaim their party's historic desire for equal treatment of all. In light of the escalating rhetoric and insane comparisons to Jim Crow regarding current election integrity efforts, the time has come to reveal the truth and fight back against the lies. To that end, the American Civil Rights Union (ACRU) has produced a thoroughly researched and documented narrative, The Truth About Jim Crow, which places the blame for the evil of the Jim Crow era where it rightly belongs – with Democrats. All Americans, black, white, Hispanic and Asian, share a national destiny and must be encouraged to engage in an honest discussion based on fact. How the Jim Crow era began and the forces that perpetuated it is a story that has been avoided by both political parties – one out of shame and the other out of fear of being called racist. But healing can only come to our nation with the acceptance of truth. The #Truth campaign will utilize the media, messaging, and organized communication activities to spark and foster an honest and open discussion of race in America. It is TIME TO CAPITALIZE ON TRUTH and change the game. No more DEFENSE. It is time to GO ON OFFENSE.
