Description

TransitionKW encourages citizens to become involved and empowered in creating a viable and sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. We seek to do this in an environmentally, socially, and economically responsible fashion. Our model, and the model of all Transition Towns, is The Transition Handbook by Rob Hopkins. His book provides a blueprint for creating a richer, more vibrant community through the re-localization of all the services and resources that we need. Without a doubt, we cannot ignore the problems of depleting fossil fuels and global warming. However, there are solutions. We aim to tap into people’s knowledge, skills, and passions to find these solutions.
