We are a student-run campus-based organization set out to improve waste management at UW and raise environmental awareness through composting.
University of Waterloo Campus Compost (UWCC) strives to improve the sustainability on campus and bring a new meaning to our daily organic waste. We intend to establish a standardized composting program across the University that diverts waste from landfills and provides nutrient rich, campus processed compost back to the community. Our pilot project, started May 20, 2014, is implemented in the Environment faculty buildings. The pilot has been proven as a success and garnered support campus-wide. We have since expanded into Arts buildings and Needles Hall is hoping to solidify and enhance our composting operations within our currently locations. Like us! Join our mailing list! Stay classy.
