Description

Location: Find our offices within Counselling Services in Health Services and Needles Hall MATES is a counseling-based, one-to-one peer support program offered by the University of Waterloo Counselling Services. MATES provides services to students who are experiencing social difficulties, mental health difficulties, transitional problems into university/Canadian life. MATES volunteers are required to go through an interview and selection process, extensive training and will always be under professional supervision, assuring our clients of their confidentiality. Services are available to students from all faculties. Students can access our services whether by referral, personally setting up an appointment, or by coming in to our office during our drop-in hours.
