Description
The UWinnipeg Sun Life Diabetes Awareness & Education Program educates students about the benefits of healthy eating and active living as they relate to diabetes prevention. During this eight-week program, students engage in fun physical activities, nutrition education lessons, and practice preparing healthy recipes. The goal is to encourage at-risk youth to make healthier choices and curb the incidence of type 2 diabetes.
