The Virginia Commonwealth University Sports Medicine Clinic is a full-service orthopaedic clinic with highly skilled orthopaedic surgeons and experienced physical therapists. We serve VCU athletes, students, employees and the general community. Our mission is to provide excellent health care and patient education that gets you back in the game whether it's on the field, at home or in the workplace. OUR SERVICES: Virginia Commonwealth University's Sports Medicine Clinic treats all patients with the same quality care we provide university and professional athletes. Our vast array of athletic-injury care and specialties include: • Sports medicine, hip and knee arthroscopy • Anatomic single and double-bundle ACL reconstructions • Meniscus repair and transplantation • Complex knee and shoulder ligament reconstruction • Ankle arthroscopy • Rotator cuff repairs • Cartilage restoration • Compartment syndrome evaluations • Arthroscopic shoulder stabilization We also offer on-site physical therapy. AFFILIATIONS: In addition to providing specialized care for patients throughout the community, our physicians aid collegiate athletes, local sports teams, high school athletes and seasoned minor leaguers. University affiliations: Our physicians proudly treat VCU Rams athletes and provide medical coverage and a certified athletic trainer to the Virginia Union University Panthers. Our athletic trainers work with university officials, coaches and players to ensure safe participation in sports. All athletic trainers are certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association. Richmond Flying Squirrels: Our physicians provide medical coverage to the Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball team, which are the AA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.
