Victoria Youth Musical Theatre Company’s mandate is to encourage children through our intensive and exciting theatre programs. Through our summer camps and year-round classes, VYMTC presents a unique opportunity for children in the Victoria area to learn about musical theatre and to perform in a professional theatre setting. We offer classes for youth aged 7-18. Year long classes begin September 12th! In the 2011-2012 year, VYMTC is proud to offer classes in four locations surrounding Victoria. Classes will take place in Fairfield, Esquimalt, West Shore and Sannichton. VYMTC offers various types of classes for all ages and levels of experience. Two production classes, working towards putting on Into The Woods Jr and Guys and Dolls Jr. will occur this year, as well as many theatre technique and dance classes. The goal of VYMTC is to enrich the lives of students by giving them an opportunity to express themselves through musical theatre and dance. The Victoria Youth Musical Theatre Company enjoys a reputation of being a safe, encouraging place for youth of all ages to come together and learn from both their instructors and one another. All content presented and rehearsed by VYMTC is carefully screened to ensure that no suggestive, objectionable or offensive content is featured.
