Welcome to our new location! What started as a tiny spot in Coquitlam has now moved to Port Coquitlam. We’ve created a bigger menu, brought in a full-fledge wood smoker, and almost double the seats! Most of the same great staff, most of all the same bistro favourites, and the same mentality of serving honest homemade food. Nothing pretentious, nothing too glamourous, just solid food that everyone can relate to. We pretty much still make almost everything ourselves, and the items we couldn’t, well, we try to get the best locally available. We’ve always had customers asking us what kind of food we serve, well, now we think we’ve got it….”contemporary slow food”. Almost everything we make takes hours and hours of preparation. From the 8 hours for the back ribs to the 4 hours for the Goulash, everything takes a while. Slow cooking is a great way to develop natural flavours. Why do you think soup and stew always taste better the next day? As for our bar-b-qued meats, well, lets face it, every region has their speciality. We do bar-b-que in our own special way. We marinate our meats in apple cider and coat it in our own rub. We smoke it in our wood smoker for hours and let you decide what kind of sauce you like it in (or “naked” as I like it). You like it heavy and messy, no problem. You want just a hint of a glaze, we can do that too! We don’t try to represent any particular region, just good local meat, a variety of homemade sauces to choose from, and a garage full of maple wood chunks. So sit back, relax, and take a long look at our menu. We know we took a while to open again, but we hope it was worth the wait. We welcome you as our guests!
