We are the Albury branch of the RSPCA with a focus on the animals, education, events and programs available in the local community. The Albury branch of the RSPCA is a volunteer based branch of the RSPCA that provides valuable services to the local community, such as: •Rehoming Program - rescuing surrendered or siezed animals and placing them in foster care until they are adopted. See www.adoptapet.com.au for a list of the animals available for adoption; •De-sexing Incentive Program - financial assistance for members of the local community that are unable to pay the full costs of de-sexing their cat or dog; •Foster Carer Training Seminars - training held for foster carers in first aid and animal behaviour training; and •School Education Talks. We also have a POOPS Program. Pets For Older Persons assisting the elderly or disabled in caring for their pets. We also hold regular events that are both educational and help us raise funds to support the care of animals in the local community, such as: •Million Paws Walk - an educational event to raise awareness of the RSPCA's services and is a great day out for the family. It is held on the third Sunday in May each year across Australia; •Cupcake Day - to help raise awareness and funds to support the care of animals in the local community; •Bunnings Barbecues - to raise funds for the local RSPCA branch; •Garage sales - to raise funds for the local RSPCA branch; and •Thank You Day - to thank our volunteers for the hard work and dedication during the year. We have an Information Centre that is open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. This is a drop in centre for members of the public to ask questions of the RSPCA volunteers. We also have a Behavioural Assessment Team to assess animals prior to coming into our care.
