Consultation and crisis services available at this location Counseling Services When you are experiencing difficulties, the Counseling and Testing Center is an appropriate resource. Whether individual, couples, or group and family therapy, our personal counseling staff provides a wide range of services and assistance. Go to our website at http://www.wichita.edu/counselingtesting for more information. Emergencies If you are afraid you will not be able to avoid hurting yourself or someone else, get help immediately. Call 911 or the University Police at 316-978-3450. You can also seek support for yourself or a friend by calling a national hotline at 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433), checking for your local resources at Suicide Hotlines, or contacting the local COMCARE of Sedgwick County Crisis Line at 316-660-7500. We have provided a list of resources and guidelines for dealing with psychological or emotional crises — information that can keep you and others safe in emergency situations. Testing Services Current and incoming students may take advantage of our many testing services which include make-up tests, national testing, distance exams, and credit-by-exam programs such as CLEP, DANTES, and departmental exams. General Info
From providing personal counseling and psychological assessments to offering national exams, the Counseling and Testing Center at Wichita State University provides a range of services designed to help students, faculty and staff succeed in their academic, work and personal lives. Call us at 978-3440 to set up an appointment or come into our office on the 3rd floor of Grace Wilkie Hall Rm 320. First session is free and following sessions are $10 a piece. Our group services are free to all students, faculty, and staff (some groups have requirements to enter). We also offer psychological testing services and these prices vary by test.
