Founded in 1924, Yokohama International School is an independent, not-for-profit school offering the Pre K - Gr. 12 IB curriculum. With over 40 nationalities composing our community, we provide a rich multicultural mix, exciting learning environment and strong academic programs. YIS students have abundant opportunities to explore, develop and challenge themselves in sports, the arts, technology, service learning and outdoor education. We also offer a Mother Tongue language program to complement our second language courses.
