History behind the YORK U VILLAGE BARBER

WHY COME? I have been a barber for 16 years now with over 40000 cuts under my belt including celebrities, athletes, and everyday people. No politics, no long waits, no bullshit just good hair cuts at a discounted rate that are convenient. HOW I STARTED I started cutting hair as a hobby at 13 years old and cut all of my friends and the neighborhood kids. As i got older and better it started getting crazy and started having people showing up in groups at all hours of the day. At the time, i was cutting hair in my back yard on a lawn chair and when it got late i would get bit by alot of mosquito's ( being in Florida ) and got fed up with cutting at the house. I decided to start at a barbershop in the hood and thats where it all started. THE PROCESS Since then, i have worked at many barber shops and have managed and helped open shops for other people. Getting frustrated with how people ran their shop, i opened up my own in 2004 called the Higher Level and it was one of the first like it in the area. Having your own business and knowing that "the first impression is the most lasting impression" i practically lived at the shop and had no life. Between cutting, cleaning, and baby sitting my employees, i had no time for anything. I got fed up and saw real estate changing in Miami so i decided to sell all my assets, keep the shop running and travel. WHY IM HERE I ended up seeing some good investments opportunities in Toronto and have decided to settle here for now. I have worked at a couple of shops the past 5 years in Toronto but i feel its best to work from my residence making it more convenient for my clients and myself. No politics, no long waits, no bullshit just good cuts at a discounted rate that are convenient.
