Description

Zach Olesinski, R.Ac, is an acupuncture graduate from the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Toronto. His journey of studying Chinese Medicine began with his early fascination of plants and their healing properties. After studying horticulture, he traveled around the world exploring different cultures and their relationship to plants and health. His path crossed with a medicine woman in remote Vietnam who introduced him to acupuncture. That encounter combined with his own healing experience with acupuncture, inspired him to study the ancient medicine. Zach has interned at Aim2Walk, an integrated neuro-rehabilitation clinic and has worked as a health educator supporting patients with chronic disease. His current clinical interest is focused on resolving trauma, addiction and mental health. Zach constantly works towards understanding the complexities of these issues and aims to integrate Chinese Medicine, mindfulness and Western neuroscience to treat these conditions. He is as a registered Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist through NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association), a specialized acupuncture program which is used in addiction and mental health. Beyond his interest in treating trauma, addiction and mental heatlh, Zach’s diverse clinical background allows him to treat a variety of health conditions. Zach is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).
