General Info

Our local Puerto Rican community has been coming together to celebrate our heritage and culture for over 10 years. It all started in June 1997, with a small gathering of 350 people in a small park, what is now the Fitzsimons Campus. We all brought our own food – “pot-luck” style, fired up the barbecues pits and enjoyed fellowship while sharing some typical dishes from our native Puerto Rico. With a DJ and several music aficionados whom brought their own instruments- WE provided the entertainment! The event was a huge success, and the following year a committee was formed to put together a formal event. Today, this is our 6th annual OFFICIAL event that is expected and highly anticipated throughout our community in the Denver Metro area! Many join us around the front range too, especially those who anticipate the authentic “tropicaribbean” flavor of this wonderful event has to offer. ensure that this celebration never goes away or stops coming together.
