Jacklyn and I bring 20 combined years of problem solving skills working under the most stressful conditions as firefighters, encompassing everything from physicaly arduous tasks to incident management, to your special event. This specialized experience coupled with a sincere desire to make your event memorable and enjoyable for you and your guests is what makes us the right choice for your event. Having an eye for detail, style and the work ethic to bring it all together, and a price point that is pleasantly affordable is what makes us stand apart. A Time For You is more than our name it is our mission statement. Due to our primary job being with the fire service it is best to schedule your even with us at the very latest by September the year before as this is when we put in for vacation for the upcoming year, (for example if your event is in 2015, the latest we recommend scheduling with us is September 2014) Due to fire season here in Southern California we will be open and more easily able to accommodate events not scheduled a year in advance from November 1 - May 1. From May 1-November 1 we cannot guarantee our availability unless your event is scheduled and security deposit paid by September of the previous year

When we got married we decided to be our own event planners, which was fine and went relatively smooth up until the day of our wedding. As the reception area of our venue opened late, vendors had not arrived, and it was time for our ceremony to begin it became obvious that there were areas of our event that still needed to be coordinated and we would not be able to do it. As I prepared to walk down the aisle i was a wreck, wondering how we would take care of everything that still needed to be done! My aunt came up to me and told me that she was going to meet with the vendors and get my reception hall set up, not to worry everything would be taken care of, but that she would miss my ceremony. Our day has many beautiful memories and thanks to my aunt's take charge ability no one but us knew the drama and near disaster that had unfolded, but we would give anything to go back and have an event coordinator, at the very least a day of coordinator, if for no other reason then to allow my aunt to see me walk down the aisle. So when our friends were planing their DIY wedding and were telling us that they were planning to be their own event coordinators, we shared our story with them and asked them to allow us to give them our services as their wedding gift. We fell in love with making other people's events run smoothly and stress free, it was then that A Time For You Events was born.
